Lovely Linens

Whether sitting down to a weekend breakfast at home or jumping into bed each night, pretty linens are an important element to the overall aesthetic and comfort of our environments. Embroidered linens are timeless and well-worth the investment. Although linen shopping should be a fun process it can quickly become overwhelming with such a wide variety of options and brands available, so I posted a few of my favorites for you along with a few inspiration images.
Photo: Etsy When designing linens, I suggest beginning with a classic white hemstitch cocktail or dinner napkin. There are so many beautiful embroidered designs and monogram styles to choose from -- scroll through my Pinterest board for pretty ideas. Once you select a style, I then recommend matching the thread color/s to one or two from your china (see photo above). Once you are comfortable with the process, then you can move on to bedding. Euro squares and extra long lumbar pillows are my favorite types of pillows to embroider, as they have the most prominent positions on the bed. Photo: Julia B.
