Mastering the Shelfie

Photo: Amber Interiors Do you ever feel like your home is begging you to declutter it? Prioritizing the meaningful items in our lives allows us to appreciate them even more. It is often difficult to find either the time, the space, or the energy to make the shift from just putting something somewhere to considering which items really make you happy -- and then how best to display those items in the most pleasing way.  Enter bookshelves, one of my best friends in decorating. Bookshelves are not just for books but are also a perfect nook to display photos, artwork, sculptures, silver, etc. They can be painted in semi gloss colors to add warmth and/ or a focal point to a room, or you can paint (or wallpaper) just the backs of them to create a personal touch. You can even decorate your bookcase with beautiful lighting! I hope that these photos inspire you to create a unique bookshelf of your own.
