I always recommend something classic that also represents your personal style.

For example, if your home embraces color, and is more whimsical, then why not consider a vibrant color in a shiny semi-gloss finish? If a vibrant color isn't your speed, then choose a unique design or a pretty shade of white. One of my go-to shades of white is Farrow & Ball Wimborne White; another is Benjamin Moore White Dove (satin or semi-gloss finishes look best depending on the condition of the door).
