Exterior Color Inspiration

Autumn has officially arrived and it is the perfect time to take a stroll through the charming streets of Georgetown, D.C. This is my favorite time of year, just as the season begins to change to fall; the crisp chill in the air feels amazing and I have been talking longer walks to take advantage of the romantic weather. I feel blessed to be awaiting our first child in such an idyllic part of D.C.

As many of you know, my husband and I have been living in Georgetown since late January and have only been occasionally visiting our apartment in New York City due to COVID. Although I miss spending most of my time in the city, Georgetown is such a beautiful place to live and has been a welcomed change of pace during my pregnancy, especially during these very unusual times.

Recently, I have had several clients ask me to select exterior paint colors for them, so on my walks I compiled photos of a few of my favorite exteriors to give my readers some pretty inspiration. The classic style is, of course, white/ off-white painted brick, black windows, and an accent color for shutters and high gloss painted door, which always looks stunning. However, I want to share a few alternate color combinations (many in the blue family) that you may not have thought of. Enjoy a few architectural details as you scroll too!
